LIVE MUSIC IN WINNSBORO
Winnsboro has been a destination for live music performances since the creation of Crossroads Music Company & Listening Room in 2005! Many would say that the opening of this music venue, and the initial volunteers that kick-started the art center at the corner of Broadway & Market Streets [now the Winnsboro Center for the Arts], sparked a creative growth Downtown that, in four short years, blossomed into an artistic hot spot worthy of the ‘Cultural District’ designation by the Texas Commission on the Arts in 2009. What an honor! One of only seven initial cities to receive the designation, Winnsboro has embraced it, and often adds the word ‘Arts’, for a more descriptive title.
